Vacuum-Sealed Frozen Tilapia Fillets
Our frozen tilapia comes vacuum sealed, which makes it perfect for storing in the freezer. Each pack has two fillets and costs $5.00, our most affordable fish. Tilapia is very mild with thin, tender fillets that cook quickly, so it is a great choice for picky eaters and busy weeknights.
Quick Ways to Cook Tilapia
- Pan-fry: season, dust with flour and cook in butter 2 to 3 minutes per side.
- Bake: top with lemon, garlic and parmesan and bake at 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Air fryer: brush with oil and cook about 8 to 10 minutes.
- Tacos: season with chili and lime and flake into tortillas.
Tilapia is done when it turns opaque and flakes easily (145°F).
Why Vacuum Sealing Helps
Vacuum sealing keeps air away from the fish, which protects it from freezer burn and keeps the fillets tasting fresh longer. To thaw, leave the sealed fillets in the refrigerator overnight or submerge the sealed pack in cold water.
Storage
Keep frozen until ready to use. Once thawed, cook within a day or two.
